As we prepare to launch ROS Lyrical Luth later this week, effective immediately we are 
freezing ros/rosdistro lyrical/distribution.yaml and changes to the lyrical branches of ROS core packages. We will reopen rosdistro and the lyrical branches for changes after we release ROS Lyrical on 2026-05-22T07:00:00Z.
During this time we will only consider release-blocking bug fixes. Anything else we will document as a known issue.
