Hi all,
In today’s ROS PMC meeting we decided to delay the RMW freeze and Feature freeze by 1 week each. The purpose of the delay is to give more time to upgrade and stabilize all Tier 1 RMW implementations. The ROS Lyrical Release date has not changed.
The new timelines are:
- New RMW Freeze 2026-04-14T06:59:00Z
- New Feature freeze: 2026-04-21T06:59:00Z
- New Branch from Rolling: 2026-04-22T06:59:00Z
