P3Bot Robot ROS2 Description and Webots R2025b Integration – Seeking Feedback

Hello everyone!

We are excited to share our work on the P3Bot, an open-source omnidirectional robot developed by the Robolab research group at the University of Extremadura (Spain).

Almost the entire robot was 3D-printed, except for its two Kinova Gen3 7DoF arms, making it an accessible platform for research and education.

We have created a ROS2 description for the P3Bot, available here: P3Bot ROS2 Repo, and we have also integrated the robot into the Webots R2025b codebase for full simulation.

It’s a WIP job but we’ve currently been able to create some systems for it and test it successfully, so far we’re pretty proud. P3Bot VR Teleoperation System

We would love to get feedback on the project, as well as any advice on potential next steps or directions to explore with this type of dual manipulator robot. Also, if you would like to share previous experiences with other robots of this type, it is appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance for your thoughts and suggestions!
