tecgihan_driver 0.3.0 not syncing to main repo for Jazzy (Ubuntu Noble)

Hello,

I’m the maintainer of the tecgihan_driver package. The 0.3.0 release for Jazzy
does not appear to have synced to the main apt repository, even though the
binary build succeeded over a week ago.

Package: tecgihan_driver
Distro: Jazzy (Ubuntu Noble, amd64)

Build status:

The Jazzy Humble equivalent of this package had a similar sync issue
previously reported here:

Could someone take a look at why 0.3.0 hasn’t been promoted to the main
Jazzy repository? Thank you.

So the new version (0.3.0) is in the testing apt repo. Now Jazzy needs a sync for new packages/versions to go from the testing apt repo to the main apt repo. This is a manual step that happens from time to time.

Looks like the last Jazzy sync was in June, so we might be due for a new Jazzy sync, see Preparing for Jazzy sync and patch release 2026-06-08.

ROS Index probably just uses the last released/bloomed version, and not necessarily the last version available from apt, because that would be platform-dependent (Ubuntu debs vs RHEL RPMs and so on).

Thanks for the clarification!

Looking at the “Preparing for Jazzy sync and patch release” thread, it seems the last Jazzy sync was on June 18, and there’s been a request for a new sync since mid-August that hasn’t been actioned yet.

So this might just be a matter of waiting for the next sync to happen.
