This week’s meeting was held on 2025-09-15T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:
- Progress updates:
- Discussed how to best handle Python bindings in ROS 2 Jazzy/Harmonic vendor packages. You can follow the issue here: gz_vendor/issues/2.
- A proposal was made to welcome Shameek Ganguly and Saurabh Kamat as full committers! Formal decision to be made in the next PMC meeting.
- All Gazebo Vendor packages for Jetty have been released!

- An optimization for
sdformatload time and memory is in review: sdformat#1589. - Work continues on the Jetty release, including closing tutorial party issues and a prerelease of
gz-transport. - We’re tackling a
gz-renderingregression on Conda (Mac) related to ogre-next. - Work is underway to create a
gz-sim10-serverdebpackage, which will be great for Docker and non-GUI setups. - New Jetty demos are available for Mass based auto inertia and a Lookup wheel slip plugin.
- New agenda items:
- We’ve started brainstorming the Gazebo-K Roadmap!
- A good discussion started about balancing new features with maintenance and thinking about the long-term vision for Gazebo (e.g., performance of non-GPU sensors). We’ll be scheduling a separate meeting to dive deeper into this topic.
