Hi Gazebo Community!

This week’s meeting was held on 2025-07-28T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:

  • Progress updates:

    • Progress on standard simulation interfaces in ros_gz, YATM configuration for release tasks, and creation of “Jetty Release” milestones.

    • Found a fix for out-of-order service requests in Zenoh.

    • Working on forward porting from Ionic to Jetty for Bazel builds and extending the WheelSlipPlugin.

    • Fixed -asan- builds and brew releasing permissions for 24.04 regressions, and implemented a ‘None’ option for Version-bump in the auto-changelog project.

  • New agenda items:

    • Proposed a yearly Gazebo user survey to help with the roadmap and discussed what questions should be included in the survey.

    • Discussion about our feature freeze policy and whether we should continue freezing older release branches.
