This week’s meeting was held on 2025-07-21T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:
- Progress updates:
- The Gazebo community forum has been migrated to discourse.openrobotics.org.
- Discussed a new strategy for downloading models when Gazebo starts.
- Migration of build.osrfoundation.org and packages.osrfoundation.org to Ubuntu 24.04 is complete. Investigations are ongoing for broken email notifications and asan builds.
- Auto-changelog generation has been integrated into gz-transport. There was a discussion on how to handle the bot for documentation-only PRs, with suggestions to make it optional or disable it for certain file types.
- New feature to enforce fixed constraints for detachable joints in Bullet-featherstone
- A new Heightmap wheelslip plugin that configures wheelslip properties based on input image.
- New agenda items:
- A new release tracking workflow using GitHub Projects was proposed for the Jetty release. The plan is to create a project in the gazebosim/gz-jetty repository.
- To ensure artifact integrity, sha256 validation is being implemented for source tarballs generated by the buildfarm.
- The July Gazebo Community Meeting has been announced.
