Hi Gazebo Community!
This week’s meeting was held on 2025-08-11T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:
- Progress updates:
- Buildfarm: No new issues last week, though some recent regressions are under investigation.
- Jetty Release: A new Feature/Code Freeze policy is now in effect. Non-
mainPRs were removed from the release project board. Maintainers will now forward port all merged changes toJettybranches after which older branches will be feature unfrozen. - Simulation Interfaces: The
SetEntityStateservice has been implemented. A method for remotely modifying the Entity Component System (ECM) was shared. - Zenoh: Work is ongoing for the Zenoh integration, with a PR to fix code and enable tests (gz-transport#676).
- Bullet-Featherstone: Frame fixes have been merged into
gz-physics(#650, #649) and a PR to enforce fixed base joints was merged intogz-sim(#2984). - ROS Dependencies: PRs to add Qt6 dependencies to
rosdepare up (rosdistro#47214, rosdistro#47215). The PR to update Gazebo ROS vendor packages is ready for review (gz_vendor#17).
- New agenda items:
- There is a call for review on the Gazebo-K Roadmap Community Survey draft.
- Planning for tutorial party kick-off event.
