The feature freeze period for Gazebo Jetty starts on 2025-07-25T00:00:00Z.
During the feature freeze period, we will not accept new features to Gazebo. This includes new features to Jetty as well as to currently stable versions. If you have a new feature you want to contribute, please open a PR before we go into feature freeze noting that changes can be made to open PRs during the feature freeze period. This period will be close when we go into code freeze on 2025-08-25T00:00:00Z.
Bug fixes and documentation changes will still be accepted after the freeze date.
This is just a gentle reminder that the Gazebo Jetty feature freeze will start EOD tomorrow 2025-07-25T00:00:00Z. If you intend to add a new feature to Gazebo (Jetty or older versions), please open your pull requests before then.
Gazebo Jetty is now Feature frozen! Open PRs that are likely to be merged before the code freeze (2025-08-25T00:00:00Z) now have the Jetty Release milestone applied to them[1]. You can find a new view on the project board that filters open PRs by the milestone (Core development · GitHub). If one of your PRs has been assigned the milestone, please try to make progress on the PR so it can be merged in a timely manner. If you don’t think it can be merged before the code freeze, please comment on the PR stating so and we’ll remove it from the milestone.
Thanks,
The Gazebo Dev Team
In the past we used the beta label to designate PRs meant to be included in the release. ↩︎
