Technical Co-Founder (Robotics + Simulation) - StealthCRX

About Stealth CRX
We’re an early-stage company started by two experienced founders. One has built and sold multiple tech businesses; the other brings industry knowledge and access to capital. We’re focused on a massive market that has been slow to adopt new technology and is ready for robotics to make a leap forward.

What We’re Building
We’re pushing existing robotic platforms further through simulation, software, and fast prototyping. The work is about getting real machines to do useful jobs, not publishing papers or chasing demos. That means small, cheap experiments, lots of iteration, and bridging simulation to the field.

The Role
We’re looking for a technical co-founder who thrives in a hands-on role. Early on, you’ll be the one wiring up sensors, tuning controllers, and running experiments in Isaac Sim before moving them to hardware. But that’s just the start. The bigger job is to build a world-class team around you—hardware engineers, software developers, operators—so that Stealth CRX can scale beyond prototypes into robust systems. This isn’t a fit for web or app developers—it’s for someone who’s spent real time with ROS, simulation tools, and robots that move.

This is not a remote-only position. We’ll be based in North Carolina, and while you don’t need to move permanently, the hands-on nature of the work requires frequent on-site presence. All that said, our culture prioritizes results and not “presenteeism.”

What You’ll Do

  • Configure and test robotic platforms (humanoid, mobile, or industrial).

  • Build and run simulations to prove ideas quickly.

  • Connect sensors, perception, and control into working systems.

  • Run lean experiments to find out what works in practice.

  • Recruit, hire, and lead a multidisciplinary team as we grow.

  • Shape the technical direction alongside the founders.

Who You Are

  • 3–5+ years building and prototyping with robots.

  • Strong with ROS/ROS2; confident coding in C++ and Python.

  • Comfortable in Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar simulators.

  • Applied experience with perception, motion planning, or autonomy.

  • Builder first: you’d rather test on a robot than debate theory.

  • Natural leader: ready to build and guide a team across hardware, software, and ops.

  • Ready to step into a leadership role as the company scales.

If your background is mainly web development or apps, this isn’t for you. If you’ve debugged ROS launch files, tuned a PID loop, or closed the gap between sim and real hardware, we want to talk.

Why Join

  • Co-founder equity and ownership.

  • Work directly with founders who have built and scaled companies before.

  • Take on a huge market overdue for change.

  • Build robots that actually get work done—and build the team to make it possible.

How to Apply
Send a DM here with your résumé and a short note on why this role excites you. Generic applications won’t be considered. We’ll follow up with a quick intro call, a deeper technical discussion, and—if there’s a fit—a short trial project to make sure we work well together.
