Preparing for Lyrical Sync 2026-06-22

Hello Lyrical maintainers!

Starting now, I will be holding new Lyrical ros/rosdistro release PRs with a plan to sync ROS Lyrical packages to the main apt repo on 2026-06-22. Please comment here if there are any issues I should know about before performing the sync.

There are currently 174 packages waiting to sync and 1 regressions.

Any chance we get OMPL in this one or it is too late ? Request for new release to support ROS 2 Lyrical (Ubuntu 26.04) · Issue #1429 · ompl/ompl · GitHub
(it is one of the blocker to release nav2)

To add to this, both MoveIt and RoboPlan have packages held back on Ubuntu 26.04 (therefore Lyrical and Rolling) simply due to a deprecated minimum CMake version in osqp_vendor.

If there is any way to get help reaching the maintainers, several people (myself included) would appreciate it:

It likely won’t make it for this sync, but I would like to maybe see the next one be in good shape if possible.

I already ran the packaging jobs for this one, but I’ll do another lyrical sync July 3rd.

The sync and patch release is out!
