Hi Gazebo Community!
This week’s meeting was held on 2026-03-30T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:
PMC Business
- None
New agenda items
- Hackathon at ROSCon Global: Plans are being made to organize a hackathon at ROSCon in Toronto, likely on the Friday following the conference.
- GSoC applications: Applications for GSoC are currently lower than expected; a final push on social media is encouraged to attract more applicants.
- Documentation organization: We decided to proceed with merging the PR to organize the documentation website using the diataxis framework. This unblocks other pending work, and since most of the implementation is already complete, it will likely serve as a useful foundation for the upcoming efforts by external contractors.
- Communication platforms for formal decisions: Discussion on using Discourse for official PMC decision-making. The consensus is to continue using Zulip and email for now, keeping discussions public by default.

- gz-transport: Added a new environment variable
GZ_TRANSPORT_ZENOH_CONFIG_OVERRIDEto override Zenoh configurations: PR 835. - gz-sim: Graded buoyancy now supports cylinders, capsules, ellipsoids, and cones: PR 3429.
- gz-physics & gz-cmake:
- Significant build time reduction (> 2.5x) on MSVC by making Whole Program Optimization optional: PR 532.
- Compiler memory usage reduced by 30-70% through codebase modernization and
TypeListintroduction: PR 916, PR 917, PR 918. - Fixes for cross-DLL teardown segfaults in
gz-physics: PR 925 and PR 1469.
- MuJoCo support: Progress on retrieving bounding box features in
gz-physics: PR 930.
