Hi Gazebo Community!

This week’s meeting was held on 2026-03-23T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:

New agenda items:

  • Discussing events for ROSCon 2026, including potential workshops, hackathons, and Birds of a Feather sessions.
  • Discussion on Mujoco packaging in gz-physics following the merge of PR 811.
  • Addressing buildfarm resource issues where gz-physics builds are overloading GPU nodes; proposal to increase RAM on standard nodes.
  • Community meeting on 2026-03-25T00:00:00Z.
  • Proposal to include Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) in release-tools (PR 1465).

Updates:

  • Buildfarm issues: flaky Windows tests (#3417), Ogre rendering failures (#1107), and msbuild warnings (#883).
  • Progress on gz-rotary release aliases and metapackage; official announcement and logo planning are underway.
  • release-tools now supports auto-displaying XML diffs for DSL changes (PR 831).
  • New benchmark suite for gz-transport (PR 833).
  • New volume functions added to gz-math (PR 730).
  • Mujoco physics updates: Gravity (PR 914) and contact/step improvements (PR 889, PR 893) merged; PR 892 is ready for review.
  • Fixed contact data in bullet-featherstone (PR 890).
