CfP: OCEANS 2026 Monterey Workshops & Tutorials Deadline Extended

IEEE/OES OCEANS 2026 Monterey (Mon-Thur 21-24 Sep 2026, Monterey, California) deadline for Workshop & Tutorial proposals has been extended to Tuesday 26 May 2026.

If you are working in ocean science, engineering, technology, autonomy, AI/ML, sensing, data systems or related fields, this is a great opportunity to contribute to the technical program and engage with the global ocean community.

These sessions provide valuable opportunities for in-depth technical instruction, discussion of emerging topics, and collaboration across academia, industry, and government. For the first time, OCEANS is introducing a structured proposal format for workshops and tutorials, encouraging innovative, forward-looking, and interactive session ideas.

Workshops are usually great for in-depth discussions and interactions about a theme topic pertinent and timely to the community that would benefit from collective and multi-faceted community input to advance or converge.

Tutorials are usually great if you’ve developed a tool, benchmark, methodology, or system that benefits the community in ocean science and engineering, and would like a venue to teach it in detail to your users.

Workshops and tutorials take place Sep 21.

(For this audience, I’m… sure one could spend the weekend at the beach, run a workshop or tutorial on Monday, and then take an overnight flight to Toronto for ROSCon Global 2026 on Sep 22-24  Okay now I think this post is allowed in this forum.)
