Hey everyone!
We recently open-sourced ROS 2 GUI Installer, a tool we developed at RUNTIME Robotics to simplify ROS 2 installation, especially for absolute beginners.
It provides a simple GUI to install ROS 2, Gazebo, Nav2, MoveIt 2, and other commonly used packages.
One feature I find particularly useful is Workshop Profiles. You can create a YAML profile with the packages and configurations needed for a workshop and share it with participants so they can easily replicate the setup on their machines.
It currently supports ROS 2 Humble, Jazzy, and Lyrical.

Hope this is useful to the community! Would love to hear your feedback and suggestions.

The Workshop Profiles idea seems like the most practical part of this, since getting everyone in a room onto the same package set is usually where a lot of time disappears. I am curious how much the profiles lock down beyond package selection, for example whether they can pin specific versions or leave room for local variations. The three-distro support for Humble, Jazzy, and Lyrical also feels considered rather than just chasing the newest release. Denver has a decent meetup scene, and something like this could make introductory sessions less about troubleshooting installs.
