It has been an exciting few weeks for Open Navigation with 3 brand new sponsors to help support the future of Nav2 that we announced at ROSCon 2025. We want to thank our new partners for their vision and support to make accessible, professional-quality mobile robotics technologies available to the world:
AMD - providing high-performance and adaptive computing solutions that empower robotics and autonomous systems with embedded SoCs, FPGAs, and Ryzen CPUs, and Radeon GPUs.
3Laws - building Supervisor ROS and Pro, easy-to-use dynamic collision avoidance solutions to improve safety and application throughput.
Staer - making mobile robots truly autonomous and gives them the ability to map new environments, understand space, plan their movements, and continuously improve.

These sponsorships have made it possible for me to bring on additional professional staff to help accelerate the development and maintenance of Nav2 even further. Accordingly, I’m excited to announce that I’m bringing on Maurice Alexander Purnawan aka mini-1235 to help respond to user tickets and pull requests, as well as develop major new features in Nav2 alongside myself.
