Hello guys, I have history with C, python and have worked with ROS2 and ROS2 controls, for Control Theory stuff. I would like to be involved in supporting a repository or a stable project. Kindly recommend a starting point. You can also check my github to see if I woul be suitable for your project at KevinKipkorir254.
You, and everyone in the ROS community, are more than welcome to review any outstanding pull request in the ROS 2 Github org. Just pick a project and PR and knock yourself out. The feedback I consistently hear from our core maintainers is that second reviews are the bottle neck to get more features out the door. Reviewing pull requests is also a great first step towards becoming a project maintainer
You are also more than welcome to grab any triaged issue off any repository in the ROS 2 org and send us a PR. I suggest discussing your approach in the issue first and make sure to read the contributor guide before you begin.
If you want to work with a real robot, probably one if not the most starred open-source hardware project around, we’re always looking for builders and maintainers over at the NASA-JPL Open-Source Rover! Build it, take on some open tickets, join the Slack channel. We have a pretty large community.
