PMC Business
- None
New agenda items
- Gazebo Maintainer Audit & Package Rebalancing: Initiated a two-phase audit of Gazebo package maintainer assignments (audit spreadsheet (not public)). Current maintainers will review their commitments, followed by opening primary and secondary maintainer roles for packages needing additional coverage.
- Vote on Gazebo-M Name: Community voting for the Gazebo M release name is officially open! Cast your vote on Discourse.
- Homebrew Platform Support & Deprecation Updates:
- Dropping macOS Intel / x86_64 Support: Following Homebrew’s deprecation of Intel (x86_64) architectures, Gazebo disabled CI and bottle builds for Intel Macs (homebrew-simulation#3487, Discourse post, Zulip discussion).
- macOS Deprecations: Preparing to align with Homebrew’s deprecations of FreeImage (Jan 2027) (homebrew-simulation#3298) and Qt5 (May 2027) (homebrew-simulation#3375), with plans to end macOS Homebrew support for Gazebo Ionic and earlier in January 2027.

Buildfarm & Infrastructure
- Buildfarm Status: Fixed issue fetching build farm regressions from
build.osrfoundation.organdbuild.ros2.org.- New Triage Items: Investigating flaky
OdometryPublisherTest::GaussianNoiseTest(gz-sim#3941) and compiler warnings inDopplerVelocityLogSystemfollowing GCC 15 updates (gz-sim#3942).

- Infrastructure Maintenance: Resolved Jenkins job request throttling issues, updated ROS repository release tools (release-tools#1517), and continued AWS RDS database cleanup.
- Ubuntu 26.04 (Resolute) Packaging for Jetty: Completed debian binary builds for Jetty on Ubuntu 26.04 (release-tools#1503) and enabled stable branch CI.
Simulation & Core Libraries
- Thread-Safe ECM Access: Added
EcmGuardtogz-simfor RAII thread-safe access to theEntityComponentManager(gz-sim#3936) (in review). - Zenoh 1.8.0 Integration: Merged Part 1/2 of Zenoh 1.8.0 integration in
gz-transport(gz-transport#867). - Lazy Dynamic Message Factory Construction: Merged lazy dynamic message factory construction across supported release branches (Rotary, Jetty, Ionic, Fortress).
Releases & Packaging
- Gazebo Rotary Pre-releases on ROS Rolling: Pre-release packages for Gazebo Rotary are now available on ROS Rolling (release-tools#1475).
- Math & Vendor Releases: Released
gz-math99.3.0,gz-math88.4.0,gz-math77.7.0,ign-math66.17.0, and updated all associatedgz-vendorpackages.
