Hi Gazebo Community! This week’s meeting was held on 2025-12-08T19:00:00Z and the following is a summary:
- PMC Business:
- A motion passed to change the release date of Gazebo Kura to 2026-08-31T00:00:00Z. This shifts feature/code freezes and the tutorial party. See the proposed timeline.
- Agreed to hold PMC meetings as scheduled during the holidays (Dec 22 and Dec 29).
- New agenda items:
- Discussed a proposal for bumping main branches.
- Reviewed the migration to DART 6.16 packages and ongoing testing.
- Discussed adding AGENTS.md files to repositories and the potential value/maintenance cost of devcontainers.
- Progress updates:
- Fixed performance issues with Dart 6.16 .debs; currently under testing.
- Progress on server-only packaging (patching gz-rendering).
- Updates on using Terraform for configuring github branch protection.
