Preparing for Humble sync 2022-09-30

There have been several new and updated packages in Humble since its release a couple weeks ago and it’s time to sync those new features and fixes to the main apt and dnf repositories.

There are currently no regressions and 85 packages to release.

We will start holding rosdistro PRs for the sync today (2022-09-26T07:00:00Z) and will plan to do the sync on Wednesday, 2022-09-30T07:00:00Z.

Is there a way to get a changelog for these syncs?

To my knowledge, we don’t do a changelog for the syncs. I believe this is because most of the packages that are updated are not maintained by the Open Robotics team, so it would require a lot of coordination, time, etc.

You can find a list of packages that have changed on the sync announcement (New packages for ROS 2 Humble Hawksbill 2022-09-30 - ROS Announcements and News - Open Robotics Discourse). You can then look for the repository and see if they maintain an changelog. Most of our repositories at Open Robotics have a changelog.
