I’m also in the Boston area and would be an interested participant.
I only am aware of a few socially-oriented robotics groups (board games and happy hour), which have not really been active so far this year, but do exist.
More on the technical side (e.g. a ROS users meetup), it may require creating a group and publicizing it. Happy to help promote it, but I don’t have a lot of free time to help manage.
