Continuing from the last session’s discussion which covered the overall topology of topics in the next generation traffic management interfaces proposal, this session will look more closely at specific message definitions within the proposal and discuss how those messages are meant to be used.

An overarching goal of the interface proposal is to cover a wide range of use cases, including both AGVs with very constrained paths to AMRs that dynamically move through free space. To generalize across these use-cases, we need to define messages that encompass the capabilities of both without being detrimental to the ease of integration for either. Therefore we want message definitions that clearly declare what capabilities they expect and make it reasonable to interpret the data in the message based on those expected capabilities.

The session will begin with a presentation on the message definitions, leading into an open conversation about questions, concerns, or recommendations from community members. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if you have not participated in past interest group sessions.
