ICRA 2026 in Vienna Open Thread

Hi Everyone,

Now that the Lyrical release and Open Hardware Summit are behind me (ask @KimMcG or @adityakamath about their experiences at OHS ) I want to take a minute to talk about ICRA 2026 in Vienna.

@mrpollo and I have scrambled to put together not one, but two open source robotics meetups at ICRA 2026:

• Our ROS meetup for ICRA will be on Tuesday 2026-06-02T16:00:00Z (6pm local time) and you can RSVP for that meetup here.
• Our PX4 meetup for ICRA will be held on Thursday, 2026-06-04T17:00:00Z (7pm local time) and you can register for that event here.

Both @mrpollo and I will be at ICRA all week so feel free to message us if you want to meet and chat about what you are working on.

If you or your colleagues happen to be presenting a ROS-related talk at ICRA feel free to shamelessly self promote it in the thread below. We want to hear about what you are working on!

p.s. My suitcase is full of Lyrical stickers fresh from the printer. I’ll be handing them out so come and find me.

We will have a full house at the Foxglove booth, it seems. Probably not as exciting as all the ROS-related talks and papers we will see at ICRA, but I’ve been hard at work putting together a Luxonis Oak 4 D Pro on top of the Seeed Studio reBot Arm. It should make for a nice demo!

And speaking of stickers - I’ll have the last batch of Weekly Robotics’ “You will never gait alone” stickers on me in case anyone wants some

Just to add some context, Seeed’s reBot arm is now officially certified Open Hardware.
