ROSCon Global Preparations
INTENSIFY
. We have officially filled all of the slots for exhibit hall and the startup pavilion!. We’re working with our sponsors to share their news with the community. We’ve got a LOT of big announcements getting unveiled in Toronto, so if you’re not there you’re gonna miss out.
Sponsors aren’t the only ones needing coordination. We’re overjoyed that many companies are asking to host side events too. Juggling all of them is a feat worthy of a trophy.
Have you registered yet? What are you waiting for? The last day to purchase regular price tickets is August 24th, so get a wiggle on!
Of course it’s not all ROSCon Global here in Open Robotics HQ. Work as usual needs to continue. Vanessa introduced some OSRA member companies to regional communities that the companies wanted to support. Vicky (hi!) got to do her first podcast interview on behalf of Open Robotics (should go live later this month). Geoff kicked off some technical committees (strategy! security!) and lent a hand to some regional ROSCon organizers, despite it being a holiday week in Japan. ![]()
The ordeal of getting the SIG PAI announcement onto the OSRA news page validated our belief that the OSRA website is overdue for an overhaul. There are things we want to add there anyway (new calendar that you can filter many different ways!), so we may as well fix the entire website to make future work that much easier. Look for that coming in 2026 (hopefully sooner rather than later).
These have been some of the highlights from this past week for your Open Robotics leadership team.
