- New Committer, Skylar Medeiros (iRobot).
- Vendor package reduction work is proceeding well, thanks to Pixi.
- Bazel support work is also proceeding smoothly.
- Michel from Ekumen has produced a prototype of replacing CDR with flat buffers, and the results are promising, especially for use of AI workloads.
- Windows 10 has now gone end-of-life, so work is proceeding in the buildfarm relating to this.
- Formal decisions:
-
Project update: Gazebo (Presented by Addisu Taddese, PMC Lead)
- Formal decisions:
- Two new Committers: Saurabh Kamat (ROS Industrial APAC) and Shameek Ganguly (Intrinsic).

Project update: Open-RMF (Presented by Michael Grey, PMC Lead)
- Formal decisions:
- Two new Committer mentees, one from CHART and one from Kabam.
- Workflow library has been renamed from bevy-impulse to Crossflow.
- Done the first release of Crossflow, as well as a diagram editor for it. The first release includes inbuilt support for gRPC and Zenoh, allowing drag-and-drop creation of nodes that talk to gRPC and Zenoh networks.
- The first official release of the new site editor is nearly ready.
- Formal decisions:
-
Project update: ros-controls (Presented by Bence Magyar, PMC Lead)
- Working on having a Mujoco ros-controls driver, but this is blocked by having a releasable Mujoco base package in ROS. This is currently being worked on by PAL.

Update on 2025 funded work
-
Work to add Cargo support to the buildfarm has been contracted out to Ekumen. The work is being done by someone who knows the buildfarm very well and also has experience with Rust and Cargo. This work is expected to be completed early in 2026.
- The potential vendors for the documentation improvements have been narrowed down to two, with the final candidate chosen. A formal quote for the work has just been received, and we expect to sign a contract for the work the week after ROSCon and start that work by the middle of November. The contractor will be designing an information architecture and taxonomy for our documentation, design the implementation of these, and trial some existing content from our ROS documentation. This work is expected to be completed early in 2026, and lead into a follow-on contract.
-
Zulip server notice
- The new Open Robotics Zulip chat server will be announced publicly at ROSCon. Expect to see a lot of new people joining.

-
Adjournment - Geoff Biggs adjourned the meeting at 15:50 UTC.
ACTION ITEMS
- The meeting minutes will be circulated to the TGC for review and approval before the next meeting by the TGC Chair.
