# Version understanding

I’m a freshman.
I want install Jetty(LTS) by source installation on ubuntu. The docs about installation says that the instructions apply to ubuntu22.04 and ubuntu24.04. But when I find the Jetty(LTS) use the gz-sim9,and gz-sim9 should compile on ubuntu noble(24.x). why the docs say 22.04 is avaiable ?

Hi @mo_mo,
Gazebo Jetty hasn’t even been released yet. We recommend you follow the [table on this page](https://gazebosim.org/docs/latest/getstarted/) and use the correct version of Gazebo and ROS for your host operating system. We do not recommend using Gazebo Classic (numbered versions of Gazebo) because it goes end of life in January.
