We were doing some builds for the RoboStack project and then [ros2.org](http://ros2.org) suddenly went down around 11:00 Europe time.

Just wanted to let y’all know - seems like there is a namecheap placeholder website now!

> **[ROS 2](http://www.ros2.org/)**

Specifically we are trying to access this file: [http://repo.ros2.org/rosdistro\_cache/galactic-cache.yaml.gz](http://repo.ros2.org/rosdistro_cache/galactic-cache.yaml.gz)

If it still works, I suggest to clean the DNS cache (it was working a little bit longer for me locally as it was on the GitHub Action that we are running).

According to [lookup.icann.org/lookup](https://lookup.icann.org/lookup):

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex022/uploads/ros/original/2X/8/861cdc0d0c844a54df2c2a8c021e92ecc90f4158.png)

notice the dates listed.

Only `ros2.org` seems to point to a new host. Subdomains still point to AWS hosts.

The host is still up.

This should work: [54.176.191.34/rosdistro\_cache/galactic-cache.yaml.gz](http://54.176.191.34/rosdistro_cache/galactic-cache.yaml.gz).

Thanks for the reports folks. There was an administrative issue preventing the domain from being automatically renewed. That has been resolved and we’re going to take steps to manage it alongisde our other domains on Monday.

Services at [ros2.org](http://ros2.org) domains should again be available at those domains.
