# Preparing for Jazzy sync 2024-11-21

We’re planning a Jazzy Jalisco sync next Thursday 2024-11-20T16:00:00Z. There are currently [239 packages](http://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_jazzy_default.html?q=SYNC) ready to sync and [no regressions](http://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_jazzy_default.html?q=REGRESSION).

If you find a regression when testing, please report it upstream and leave a comment here so we can track it leading up to the sync.

Starting today 2024-11-18T16:00:00Z we’ll hold all rosdistro PRs unless they fix reported regressions.

Hey @marcogg,  
Is there a new sync going to happen in recent times?  
I am looking forward to using some packages already listed in the ROS Index, but I can’t seem to install them because they are not yet available on the packages server. Just wanted to know if I should import and build them from source or wait a few days for them to become available.
