# Preparing for Iron Sync 2024-02-23

Hello everyone,

There are several new packages and updates ready to be released for Iron!

There are currently [0](http://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_iron_default.html?q=REGRESSION) regressions and [40+](https://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_iron_default.html?q=SYNC) packages to release 🎉

We will hold `rosdistro` PRs for the sync starting today and will aim to do the sync by 2024-02-23T15:59:00Z once the regressions are resolved.

I’ll make an announcement here once the sync is completed and we can resume merging into `rosdistro`.
