# Preparing for Iron Sync 2023-07-28

Hello everyone,

There are several new packages and updates ready to be released for Iron!

There are currently [no regressions](http://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_iron_default.html?q=REGRESSION)and [~80](https://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_iron_default.html?q=SYNC) packages to release 🎉

We will hold `rosdistro` PRs for the sync starting today and will do the sync on 2023-07-28T15:59:00Z

I’ll make an announcement here once the sync is completed and we can resume merging into `rosdistro`.
