# Preparing for Humble sync and patch release 2025-07-22

We’re planning for a Humble sync and patch release on 2025-07-18T07:00:00Z.

There are currently [no Ubuntu amd64 regressions](https://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_humble_default.html?q=REGRESSION) (but [1 RHEL regression](https://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_humble_rhel.html?q=REGRESSION)) and [260 packages](https://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_humble_default.html?q=SYNC) to release.

We will start holding rosdistro PRs for the sync today (2025-07-16T07:00:00Z) and will plan to do the sync on 2025-07-18T07:00:00Z.

I found a [minor issue](https://github.com/ros2/ros2/pull/1709#issuecomment-3090709109) in the patch release, so I couldn’t wrap up everything yesterday. I’m delaying the patch release (and sync) until Monday.

The buildfarm took the weekend off 🏖 so arm64 package rebuilds aren’t done yet. It should hopefully be done by tomorrow.
