# Preparing for Crystal sync 2019-01-31

Crystal (and Bouncy) are both [regression](http://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_crystal_default.html?q=REGRESSION) [free](http://repo.ros2.org/status_page/ros_bouncy_default.html?q=REGRESSION) and there are a few new packages in each so we’ll plan to sync them tomorrow. This sync will not include a patch release of any core ROS 2 packages.
