Mapping is an essential part of Navigation. In order to make a robot navigate autonomously, it needs to have a map of the environment. In this open class, we will see how to create a map of an environment using the slam\_toolbox ROS2 package.

In this expert-led open class, you’ll learn:

- **How to Create and Save a map of an environment using the slam\_toolbox package**
- **Basic concepts and configuration of the package**
- **Special features in slam\_toolbox**

You will be using a simulated mobile robot, Neobotix MP-400 throughout the training.
