Looking for 1-2 team members - AI for Industry Challenge (AIC) - https://www.intrinsic.ai/events/ai-for-industry-challenge

We’re a team of 5 competing in the AIC robotics cable insertion challenge ($180k prize pool, qualification deadline late May) and looking to bring in 1-2 more people with hands-on experience in robot learning / imitation learning / sim-to-real.

Our current team:

  • Robot engineer (London)
  • 2× PhDs in Robotics , both are experienced engineering manager in Spain, one in London
  • PhD student in robot learning (Boston)
  • Data engineer (NYC)

We have the sim environment running, baseline policies working, and data collection infrastructure in place.

What we’re missing is someone who can lead or guide the learning side (i.e. policy training, dataset curation, ACT/diffusion policy, that kind of thing!)

~2 months left so we’re looking for people who can hit the ground running.

If you’re interested or know someone who might be, drop a reply or DM me.

Hi, how can I DM to you? I am studying on robot learning and RL. interested to your team to attend. I can’t find to area messaging in this forum

Hey,
I am interested in Joining your team. I am an MSc in Robotics student from Boston and would love to collaborate with you guys in this challenge.
I have worked on classical Robotics and Mechanics and slowly drifting towards RL and VLA in robotics. I am extremely committed in solving the challenge and would like to hear from you guys.

Here is my CV for reference. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bpn8QYCrOWee5xuzWMHv-ry_1gLRFH6b/view?usp=drive_link

hey mate have you found a team? i am also looking for a team to join, thats more of beginner friendly. I am third year student of Mechatronics engineering, and have worked in C/C++, verilog, computer artitechture, pcb designing, ros2 basics, and such. Looking to connect, and experts to learn from

Hello people,
I’m looking to join or create a team.

I am late to the show but I won’t be taking the scenic route anyway. I am not planning on doing end-to-end policy learning or building AGI (at least phase 1). I prefer working smart by leveraging task structure and using efficient solutions with heuristics.

I just finished my PhD in robotic manipulation (deep learning + model-based control), and I’ll be ~fully available over the next months. I will be working on the challenge even if I am solo, but I welcome the opportunity to meet people and learn from each other.

Feel free to contact me on linkedin (Théo Ayral - http://www.linkedin.com/in/theoayral). I am in Paris but can work with any timezone.

Hey @thayral, I’m looking for teammates as well, this is my linked In, let me know if you are interested to collaborate ? https://www.linkedin.com/in/vishwatheja/

Hello beautiful people, putting this message out there for any fellow Moroccan with whom I can form a team. I do a little bit of everything and would love to connect and bond over this challenge.
Coming from UM6p Benguerir!

Hello! We are two Master’s students in Mechanical Engineering at KAIST looking for a team to join for this competition

We have a strong background in the hardware and control side of robotics—specifically 3D modeling, dynamics, and embedded systems. We’ve built robotic manipulators and actuators before and are also proficient in programming (Python, C++, and MATLAB) and can quickly pick up new languages as well.

Lately, we have been diving into AI, so we are very eager to apply it to this challenge and learn!

We hope to gain great experience by participating in this hackathon and would be thrilled to team up with like-minded people. It’s a bit late, but we will be participating anyway so it would be nice to collaborate and learn with some more people along the way

If anyone’s interested in teaming up, please email me at: rudrajyotid05@gmail.com

Our preferred time zone is GMT +9
