# Micro-ROS WiFi transport support

Micro-ROS offers WiFi transport on [RA family of MCUs](https://www.renesas.com/products/microcontrollers-microprocessors/ra-cortex-m-mcus).

[micro-ROS](https://micro.ros.org/) connects ROS 2 with the embedded world. This comprehensive framework is being increasingly supported in industrial endorsed applications.  
Renesas fully integrates micro-ROS into the RA family, and e2 Studio, and the RA family of MCUs is the [micro-ROS reference platform](https://www.renesas.com/us/en/products/microcontrollers-microprocessors/ra-cortex-m-mcus/ra-partners/eprosima-ra-family-micro-ros-support).

Current transport supported are: UDP, UART, USB-CDC, CAN/FD, **WiFi**.  
**Wifi transport support for FreeRTOS on micro-ROS** opens up the possibility of developing embedded applications with no wired agent connection, such as applications based on mobility or sensor distributed deployment networks.
