# Gazebo Fortress installation issue on Ubuntu 22.04 (Humble) – gz sim not running

I followed the Gazebo documentation to install **Gazebo Fortress** on **Ubuntu 22.04 (ROS2 Humble)**, but `gz sim` does not run.

Initially, when I ran:

bash

```auto
which gz

```

it returned `/usr/bin/gz`, but running:

bash

복사편집

```auto
gz --version

```

produced no response.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Gazebo Fortress, but after reinstallation, `gz` was not found at all.

At first, I suspected a conflict with **TurtleBot3 Gazebo** , so I removed all related packages and dependencies before reinstalling Gazebo Fortress. However, the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem, or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

Instead of gz sim you should type ign gazebo
