Hi ROS community,
Humanoid robotics is one of the fastest-growing fields in robotics today. Yet despite the rapid progress, there is still no comprehensive learning path that teaches the complete modern humanoid robotics stack.
To bridge this gap, we’ve created the Humanoid Robotics Masterclass, starting in September 2026—a hands-on online program that helps engineers develop the skills needed to build and program modern humanoid robots, from mechanical design and electronics to control systems and AI.
The goal of the program is simple:
Help you master the complete humanoid robotics stack through practical, real-world experience.
Program Highlights
The program is built around hands-on learning from day one, giving participants practical experience across the complete humanoid robotics development workflow.
1. Build Your Own Human-Sized Humanoid Robot

You’ll receive your own humanoid robot kit (included in the tuition) and progressively assemble, configure, and program it while learning how every subsystem works together.
You’ll gain practical experience with:
- Mechanical assembly
- Electronics integration
- Servo installation
- ROS 2 system configuration
- Robot bring-up and calibration
- ROS 2 application development
- AI-enabled robot behaviors
By the end of the program, you’ll have built your own working humanoid robot.
2. Access a Real Unitree G1 Humanoid Robot Remotely
In addition to your own robot, you’ll have the opportunity to remotely access and experiment with a real Unitree G1 humanoid robot hosted at The Construct’s robotics laboratory.
This allows you to test your software on professional humanoid hardware while gaining experience beyond simulation.

3. Flexible Learning
The program is fully online and designed to fit different schedules.
Whether you study full-time or alongside work or university, you can complete the curriculum at your own pace.
Typical completion times are:
- Around 3 months (40 hours/week)
- Around 6 months (20 hours/week)
- Around 12 months (10 hours/week)
Learning Path
The Masterclass follows a structured four-phase curriculum covering every major discipline involved in humanoid robotics.
Phase 1 — Mechanical Design & Simulation
You’ll understand the key concepts of humanoid robot mechanics, motion, and design.
Phase 2 — Electronics
You’ll master core electronics components behind humanoid robots and learn how to build its complete electronic system.
Phase 3 — Control Systems
You’ll master control systems to achieve stable, adaptive, and efficient movements for humanoid robots, empowering them to perform complex tasks in real-world environments.
Phase 4 — AI & Intelligent Robotics
You’ll master the skills to program humanoid robots with advanced AI algorithms, enabling them to autonomously handle complex tasks and interact with real-world environments.
What You’ll Gain
By completing the program, you’ll:
Build your own human-sized humanoid robot
Master 29 key humanoid robotics topics covering the complete development workflow
Develop practical skills across mechanics, electronics, control, ROS 2, and AI
Gain hands-on experience with a real Unitree G1 humanoid robot
Receive one-on-one mentorship from humanoid robotics and AI experts
Earn a LinkedIn-shareable certificate upon successful completion
Upon successful completion, you’ll have practical experience across the complete humanoid robotics stack—from mechanical design and hardware integration to advanced control systems and AI—preparing you for careers in the rapidly growing field of humanoid robotics.
