# \[build.ros.org\] Planned downtime for Thursday

We’re changing the volume type of the build farm repository host which requires the host to be offline for a disk snapshot and copy. We’ll use the downtime to perform updates and reboot [build.ros.org](http://build.ros.org) as well since the build farm can’t run while the rosdistro caches are unavailable.

The primary ROS repositories at [http://packages.ros.org](http://packages.ros.org) will remain available.

This will begin after the Kinetic sync.

As a head’s up to folks who saw it. I did the timezone calculation incorrectly so you may have seen a notification that the maintenance window was starting today. That was incorrect.
